Our last few weeks...

We are getting down to the last few weeks of living in Fort Collins. I will miss my city... it was such an awesome place to live. Highlands Ranch has a lot to live up to! We celebrated my friends birthday at a very favorite restaurant of mine which has some of the BEST sushi in town, in my opinion that is. Pazzo, our oldest cat at three years old, has been through 4 moves already in her life. She has been having a blast hiding out in all of the random boxes that are taking up space in our apartment. I know she will love all of her new hiding places in our new house!Yesterday we drove down to our new place to drop off all the big stuff that we could grab with out a full sized truck bed..our bikes, golf clubs, camping stuff, etc. Jeff got to spend some time in the garage playing with his tools. Fiona got to spend her time running around the backyard like a crazy woman. And I got to spend time in my 'garden!' I should change that sign to say "Welcome to my dead garden" because I am sure once I get my hands on it things won't be living too long after.
After dropping off stuff at the new place we headed over to a going away party for a family friend of the Overmans. They are moving to Oklahoma so their daughter and Lori threw together an amazing going away party. We even got to spend some time with Russ, Kara and the baby which is always very nice!

  1. Hey there! Before you leave Fort Collins... if I send you some $ would ya'll get me a New Belgium Brewery sweatshirt? Eric has succeeded in wearing all of my hoodies and trashing them contractor style (sander burn holes, concrete, paint, rips & tears...) Jeff's 'I love playing with tools' picture made me think of it.
Sounds like you've had a full weekend! Has Kara let you feel the belly yet? She is getting to be rather pregnant, yeah for pregnant chicks and babies. You're next Miss Emily! Maybe not, I forgot about Stace.
A good college town is a thing to miss. I still get twinges for Ellensburg every now and then! Their is pretty much always great bars and restaurants, lots of outdoor recreation, a whole mess of lots of types of people, and tons more. But, it's only an hour or so away (right?) and you can go visit.
Don't forget to send me your address... your housewarming gift won't be able to arrive otherwise. :)
