Anniversaries Galore!

Happy Anniversary to Melissa and Clint and Kara and Russ! This time 3 years ago Jeff and I were in different states celebrating at both of our siblings weddings. I can't believe it's already been three years! Congratulations, we love you! (Sorry Kara, I don't have any pictures of your wedding!!)So you thought it was bad when I had nothing to blog about besides my dog? Now add pregnancy to the list! Baby is doing well and has been moving around a lot lately. Jeff even got to feel a few kicks before he went into work, she must have been saying goodbye to her Daddy. This morning I had to get into work bright and early... 5:45a.m. to conduct a fire drill. The residents weren't the only ones that were surprised- baby started kicking like crazy after being awoken by an alarm. Here is the next addition to the nursery. This one took Jeff a long time to put together, he said there were 120 screws. Yikes. Glad I was at work for this one ;)Our crib set finally arrived too! It's so pretty and very soft! I'm looking into whether or not you should use the crib bumper with the baby, but for now I'm keeping it up because it's too darn cute.

Fairest of them all

As you can see we've had a really busy and productive week. We no longer have the 'yellow room,' it is now the pink room. The color of the paint was fairest of them all from Snow White and the 7 dwarfs, how cute! It looks so great! Thanks Jeff, Lori and Brian for working so hard! It looks so pretty :)
Here is my favorite part, our first official princess piece in the room. I almost started to cry when I saw the pink and the crib, it is starting to feel so real now. We can't wait until she gets here.

the big 2-9

So my wonderful husband celebrated his 29th birthday this Friday. He is a little intimidated by the number because it is his last year in his 20's...We went to a Japanese hibachi grill with Brian and Lori for dinner. At the end of our dinner the wait staff surprised us with a Japanese birthday song, gongs and all. I didn't know it would be so festive so I missed all the good stuff for the photo! Here is Jeff standing next to his very own funfetti cake with rainbow chip frosting. (If everyone remembers, this was the cake Jeff had wanted for the wedding. He finally got some more for his birthday!)Finally, we finished off the birthday with a Rockies game. It ended up being a great night AND the Rockies won. Happy Birthday Jeff, I love you!

Crib has arrived!

On Friday our crib arrived in a box. Luckily, I had gotten the day off so I could join in on the fun! Fiona knew it would take us a while to put it together, so she picked a comfy spot on the floor to watch.Jeff got right to work and before we knew it, the crib was almost completed!Fiona could tell that I was excited, and she wanted to get in on the action. She was upset because she couldn't figure out how to get past the cardboard box.The finished project!Just imagine how excited Fiona will be when there is a little tiny baby sleeping inside...

Nursery ideas

So we are making progress toward the Disney Princess nursery. I ordered the bedding online and am excited to see what it looks like in person! You can't have too much pink, right?
For the walls I'm thinking having all but one the light pink of the two colors above, then having one accent wall with the additional pink in stripes. The curtains would be a light pink and a white sheer, kind of like you see in the picture above.I also got this wall decal to put somewhere on the walls, maybe above the crib. There is this wall hanging which I think is great! The only downside is that it is made out of paper.

What do you think, too much pink? :)

Story Time

We are at 21 weeks and baby is getting stronger by the day! Here is a picture from last week while Jeff was home. Fiona has gotten so used to story time and loves getting right up to the book to hear all the stories.
