Firework show

Tonight is Jeff's video game night so I am entertaining myself while sitting on the couch next to him by blogging again. Tomorrow Jeff and I are going out with friends for the Fourth so Johanna is going to miss out on the big fireworks show that our town puts on. We had to make up for it with a show of our own.

Johanna was excited to be out in the front yard in her jammies and teddy bear. The teddy bear belonged to Jeff when he was a little boy. GiGi saved it for him for when he had kids of his own to pass it on to, how cute is he! 

We got a bunch of 'kid friendly' things like the racing tanks and cars and a little turtle. Fiona did not like them at all, they must not be dog friendly.

And they're off!

Next was the live entertainment. A sparkler show put on by Jeff.

Now this she loved!

Here was my favorite, parachute man. The firecracker bursts up into the air, pops open then down flies the parachute man. Parachute man was really just a block of cardboard, talk about a letdown!

This one was Johanna's favorite by far. It didn't make scary noises or threaten to come charging at her. It just sat there and grew into a large clump.
