Confirmation

Last Saturday was my Confirmation, finally after 8 months of classes I was able to 'graduate.' Beforehand, we went to Maggianos for some yummy family style Italian. We knew we needed to load up our tummies since the service was supposed to be around three hours long. The food was delicious, but Brian ended up getting sick afterward...he must have had too much chicken marsala and cheesecake! When we got to the church, we all had to take candles. It was going to be a candlelight service. All of the younger girls were dressed in their white gowns. They looked so beautiful! Some were even wearing veils and tiaras and had their hair up in up dos. Not going to lie, I was a little jealous us older girls weren't required to wear this. I was planning on wearing my wedding dress again..just kidding!About half way through the service, they turned on the lights and we got to see the church decorated with tons of beautiful Easter flowers, it was gorgeous! Half of my class were baptised which was very special, then we were all annointed, then got to partake in the Eucharist. It was really cool!It was a very beautiful service, and I was so happy to have my family there to support me, and everyone passed the test, no one fell asleep! In the pictures above I am not sweating, it's actually the annointing oil. It had a very distinct smell, it was very nice. Jeff did a great job as being my sponsor and I will remember this ceremony forever!
