Jeff and I got to travel up to Nebraska this weekend to Lake McConaughy. Our friends Brian and Kim have a place along the water and invited us and their brother up for the weekend. The weather was awesome it actually felt like summer! We had a great time on their boat and spent the day out on a little sand island that we found. Here Brian and Jeff are standing by a privacy fence we created to keep everyone else off our island.

The water was still a little too chilly for me, but the boys had a bunch of fun on the rafts!

Here is a toad that I caught along the shore. Isn't he cute? I thought so too until he peed on me.

Jeff got to play with Brian's toys...a dune buggy and ATV. The dune buggy was so much fun on the beach, I even got to ride around on it going slow. The ATV still scares me a little. Jeff tried to do a donut and flipped it over on himself! He was okay, but had a few bumps and scratches afterward.

We went golfing Sunday morning and the course went over the Oregon trail. The golf course was in this tiny town named Oshkosh and you could play in pretty much whatever you were wearing. I was wearing a dress and sandals...can't do that in Highlands Ranch!

On the way home we passed a fence along the road that had old cowboy boots nailed to the posts. Apparently there was a huge battle between the Cowboys and Indians, and afterward the boots of all the fallen cowboys were hung on the fence in remembrance of them.

The fence went on for a few miles with a bunch of the boots, they were so strange to see up close and so small!

No major news with the baby. I have been feeling more movement, usually after I've eaten is when I get the biggest flutters. It is so much fun! I've had a tiny bit of round ligament pain but nothing crazy. I wonder if this means my stomach is getting bigger... I feel like it's already freakishly big for only being 16 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I've been watching the shows on TLC that Jeff tells me not to watch and the most recent one that I saw was about child giants. I hope I am not having one of those.
Jeff had to go back to work at the rig today and it was pretty hard. It has been so nice having him at home these last few months, I forgot how crappy it is when he's gone every other week! But next week we get to go to our 18 week checkup and then the following week that he is home we'll have our big ultrasound! So hopefully the weeks that he is gone go by very quickly and then the exciting weeks will be here before we know it!
your pics had me laughing, the comments you write make them. Really looks like the lake was fun. I only like a ATV when i can drive,No you are not having a giant child. When i was pregnant i was always asked if i was having twins. June 23 will not come soon enough. I want to buy something !
