Scottish Festival

Lori and I went to the Highlands Ranch Scottish Festival this weekend, it was a blast! One of the best parts was riding the little mini bus around town... I know, it's the little things that amuse us!
We were the only adults taking pictures of ourselves ON the bus.
My favorite part of the day was the dog parade, look at the beautiful great danes!

There were a bunch of beefy guys throwing things around. Here was a guy who was competing in this event where you throw this huge telephone pole like object as far as you can. The things Scottish people did back in the day.

Lori tried some bangers and mash (I had a hotdog... I promise this has only been my third hotdog total since I've posted on my hotdog cravings, not bad for a month I think!) We will have to go back next year with Jeff so we can try out the whiskey tasting and haggis, which consists of sheep's heart, liver and lungs simmered in it's stomach. We weren't brave enough to try it on our own.

  1. These things are soooo fun! I love the bizarre and TOTALLY manly sports they do... in skirts. :) On your previous post - good find on the chair, a comfy place to sit is an absolute must for a nursing mama. You look great. The important part is that your face looks great (some people get AWFUL moon face) and your arse has not turned into a giant caboose. You're doing just fabulous Emily.
