This weekend Jeff, Johanna and I got to go on our first mini family vacation to Breckenridge, Colorado. My family from Texas loves skiing so every year they like to make a trip somewhere to hit the slopes. They rented out a condo right along the mountain and invited us to stay. My cousin Lauren has a beautiful 9 month old baby girl named Avery. It was so nice to be able to meet her!
While everyone was out skiing my Aunt Martha and I stayed behind to watch the little ones. Everyone tried to get me to ski, but I wanted to make sure I was all in one piece for my trip to Ohio. Jeff also wanted Johanna to come out and ski with him. Turns out she can start lessons when she is 3 years old! (We will see about that...)
Johanna loved all the attention from her cousins!
Avery was so interested in the baby. She was crawling all over trying to get to her to touch her. It was so sweet to see them interact with one another!
The condo that we stayed at was amazing. You would walk out from the garage and a few feet away was the path to the ski lift! Here are the men all ready to go.
And they're off! Jeff was like a kid in the candy store, he hadn't been skiing all winter. He made sure to show them all his favorite runs.
Here we are nice and toasty inside.
We had to bundle Johanna up and get her out in the snow for a little bit. Remember her giant marshmallow suit? It was almost too small for her now!

I wish I could have gone with you!!! It looked like you guys had such a nice time :) I'm glad you were all able to go. Johanna and Avery looked so cute together. They are only 6 months apart! The ski lodge looks really pretty. One day we will have to come out over my winter break and stay there for a few days with you guys. Have a safe trip!! We will see you in a couple of days :)

ReplyDeleteSweet 'mallow suit baby Johanna. Adelaide told me today that she needs to "take a drive to see Baby Johanna, and visit with Cousin Emily - they have snow!... and Mama, LindyJean will love Johanna. Tell Daddy to get the car loaded." I cannot remember the last time I skiied. I think I was 18. I would likely be so out of shape, I would die if I attempted it. :)
