Bumbo

Johanna hasn't been enjoying sitting in her boppy like she used to, she is always trying to pull herself up into a sitting position. For those of you that aren't familiar with what a 'boppy' is, it's the pillow that you can wear around your tummy to provide support while holding a baby/nursing/etc. Today we decided to try out a bumbo chair. We hadn't gotten one yet so Jeff and Johanna went on their first outing together without Mommy to pick one up. (And to stock up on some more tissues since I had blown through our supply.) After Johanna was nice and full and with a clean diaper they headed out on their own. Even though I knew they would be fine it was nice to see that she returned an hour later still as happy as a clam. Looks like Johanna and her Daddy will have to go on more outings together. We plopped her in the bumbo and she really seemed to enjoy it!

She loves feeling different textures with her finger, feet and especially face. Now that she can pick things up that we put in her lap she is constantly shoving things in her mouth, like this fuzzy little blankie from Jeff's Aunt Elaine. I guess it's time to start checking out all her toys, blankets and dolls to make sure they are baby friendly!
