One thing about being a part of of different Mom's Groups is that you get to go to tons of birthday parties, how fun! Last night we celebrated Mr. Noah's 1st birthday and his Mom put together a great party. Noah's nursery theme is hippos so the birthday theme of course was hippos/jungle as well. When we walked through the door the kids were greeted with jungle leas and jungle hats. As you can see, Johanna wanted nothing to do with this non-girly hat and I could not for the life of me get a picture of her in it!
The cake was my favorite part. Is this not the cutest thing ever? And it was delicious too, yum!
The dogs were kept outside while the party was in action but that didn't stop Johanna from finding them. She wouldn't budge from the back door for the longest time, she kept pounding on the glass and waving at the dogs ecstatically. Daisy, their boston terrier was most fond of her and would jump on the glass to say hi. Johanna would laugh so hard she would gasp for air. I wonder what she thinks when she sees these dogs that are so small compared to her dog back at home?
For the older kids a craft table was set up to paint piggy banks, the banks were actually lions so would you call them lion banks? As a party favor each kid got their very own smock. We took Johanna's lion bank home to paint when she gets a little older.
Happy 1st Birthday, Noah!
Johanna was so pooped after the party she crashed immediately in the car with her party blower still in her hand. When Jeff came to carry her upstairs she kept her little fingers grasped tightly around it all the way up until we set her in bed and were able to sneak it away from her until the morning. What a fun party!
Wow, you really can wear out the party girl!
