This Valentine's Day Johanna and I joined some fellow Mom's from our church at the Johnson Center. We sang some Valentine's Day songs (who knew there were such a thing?!) and passed out valentines to the residents. The elderly were so excited to see the babies although I can't say the same for Johanna... you think she's bad with stranger anxiety she's even worse when you take her to an assisted living home! The residents were so cute and passed out little suckers and candies to the kids, Johanna made sure to finish all of her sucker and even got seconds.
She got to wear her Minnie Mouse costume her Aunt 'Lissa got her. You could tell she felt so pretty in it, she wouldn't take off her purse and loved wearing her headband/ears.
The Friday before when I picked Johanna up from her nursery class she gave me a homemade valentine that she'd made with her teachers. Pregnant lady hormones didn't help I'm sure but this Momma started crying, such a sap! What they say is so true, homemade gifts are simply the best :)
Speaking of homemade valentines Kara had Johanna and I over along with her neighbors Erin and Drew to make some fun holiday crafts. The kids had such a great time making hand print hearts! I had every intention of sending a valentine off to each set of Grandparents but alas procastination got the best of me and instead last minute before Daddy got home from work on Valentine's Day we decided to throw them all together on to his card. Next year we will be much more prepared... love you guys!
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone we hope it was extra sweet!
How cute!!! I love the picture of her in her Minnie costume-- the Valentine's photo is adorable. She looks so happy with her friends. Glad you had a nice day. Love you guys!
