Friday evening I sent Jeff out to the grocery store to stock up on a few essentials... milk, gummy bears, cheese dip... you know what every pregnant woman needs to survive a blizzard. One thing on the list were bananas but when Jeff sent me this picture of the banana stand I knew we'd be banana-less over the weekend. There's always money in the banana stand.. haha...anyone get it? You would think it was the end of the world with how crazy people were clearing out the stores...hello! Just a little snow people!
That night and the following day it snowed and snowed and snowed. I think the final total was somewhere around 26 inches, for once the weathermen got the forecast right! We stayed in and caught up on some more chores. Jeff broke into the giant IKEA box containing JJ's dresser while I caught up on about 8 loads of laundry.
Johanna was tired just watching us.
As was Pazzo.
Ta-da! I love the blue.
The snow even continued through the night all the way until the next morning. After breakfast we decided to head over to the park down the street to try out some sledding.
Weeeeeee!!
Walking up the hill...
Getting stuck about a foot down the hill... No matter how hard we tried we could not get the sled to slide down the hill! We blame it on a combination of way too much soft snow and a very flimsy saucer sled that just couldn't handle it on the slopes. Tomorrow we'll be testing out another hill with a better quality sled, wish us luck!
She didn't seem to mind the sledding disaster.
The first day of our snow storm Jeff and I skyped with my parents and they asked if any of our neighbors got the snowmobiles out. We said we didn't think any of our neighbors had anything like that. We were proven wrong though because sure enough this morning we had several atv's driving up and down the streets!
Jeff kept busy keeping our driveway clean from snow. Johanna got to break out her little shovel and help Daddy out, what a helpful little girl! A few minutes after I'd taken this photo our neighbor a few houses down came over with his snow blower and took care of our driveway and sidewalk. Thanks, Gary! (not that you would ever read this, and I'm only about 65% sure your name is Gary...)
Let it snow let it snow let it snow!
OMG adorable in that pink little suit!!! I just want to squeeze her!! And so much snow-I bought Brynn a sled and we have yet to get to use due to the lack of snow!! That dresser is awesome great style you have!!! Too funny about the Y2K comment!! Well I hope he came out with your other goodies you "needed"! And ps send some snow our way!!! So much fun!!!

We are all in such a love hate relationship with our snow aren't we. Hangin out in it is a lot more fun than shoveling.
ReplyDeleteGo Go Builder Bob, he really does need the outfit though.
Love Jeff and Johanna with the sled! It really shows how deep the snow is! The blue dresser is awesome!! Well done Jeff!
