Superbowl XLVI

For Superbowl Sunday Jeff participated in the Sunday Bloody Sunday 5k Challenge. Instead of your typical 5k race it had an obstacle course set up throughout the route.

For each obstacle competed you received a mark on your bib. Some of the challenges included balance beams, monkey bars, hurdles, tires, carrying sandbags, low crawl under a tarp and a wall climb. I can't wait to try it out next year!

Jeff came in 38th place out of 130 people, good job!

After spending the morning outside cheering Jeff on in the snow we headed back to Brian and Lori's for food food and more food! (And some football too!) I was in charge of dessert so I called my Mom for the recipe to one of my favorite cakes- ho-ho cake! It tastes just like a Little Debbie swiss cake roll and is very tasty! It may not look like much, but I decided to cut the sheet cake in half to layer then whipped up some decorating icing to make a football field. Squeezing icing from a plastic bag is not an easy task... so this is the best I could do, haha! Luckily it tasted much better than it looked.

Football time! So the commercials weren't anything worth talking about and Madonna's half time show was only so-so but at least the last quarter of the game was exciting! Here's Johanna hanging on to the edge of her seat...
