This past week we were able to celebrate Tyler's second birthday in person and not on Skype! On his birthday, May 12th we headed over to Chuck E. Cheese to try their marvelous pizza everyone has been raving about hehe... Deja vu you say? In case you haven't noticed, now that the boys live so close to us Kara and I often have very similar posts :)

Johanna got to try out her first carriage ride. Here she is waiting longingly for a prince to arrive but no such luck this time.
That girl behind Chuck E. must be pretty excited to play skeeball!
There was a little toddler section that had a few mini rides safer for the little ones. Johanna didn't know what to think of this ride, it moved forward and backward while she looked on confused.

After that adrenaline rush she was initiated in as the fifth teletubbie I named her "Screecher."
Here we are going down the slide. I have chosen not to show the picture of me getting stuck mid slide...we'll pretend that didn't happen..
There was a little booth that would take your picture then do a sketch from the image. You would have to line your head up into the box highlighted on the screen in front of you then wait for the 5 second countdown. Johanna would do very well until the last second then she'd turn her head the opposite direction!
On Sunday Kara threw a family birthday party for the birthday boy. Nathan was so excited to see his cousin and wanted to know what in the world was on her head.
There were balloon galore in the living room that were anchored down with baby toys.
Talk about killing two birds with one stone, the room looked nice and festive and the babies were entertained for hours!
Tyler was such a big boy and opened all of his presents on his own.
Johanna was excited to see all the wrapping paper. I think for her birthday we'll just have people wrap empty boxes and she'll be a happy camper!
Tyler shared his paper with Nathan and Johanna who both had a great time crunching it up in their hands.
Which baby is this Nathan or Johanna?? Don't they look so similar! Clue: this baby dose NOT wear bows.
Happy 2nd Birthday Tyler we love you!
I love all these pictures! It's nice to see them from a different perspective! I'm so glad we got to spend Tyler's Birthday with all the people he loves. Thank you for helping to make it a great weekend!
