Christmas tree part II

Our Charlie Brown tree survived the brutal trip back home through snow, wind and highway driving. It may have lost about half its needles, but it survived!
When I pulled out the tub of Christmas ornaments Johanna immediately spotted the little stuffed animal bear ornament that had belonged to Jeff as a little boy. (I think it may have even been a gift that he'd given to someone, but I have to check with Lori on that one!) She wouldn't put the little thing down.
More babies with Christmas lights, they sure do love them!
Can you tell from this facial expression someone tried to take her little bear away from her?
It was so funny watching her open up the tubs to see what was inside, then try to help out in her own little way.

While Jeff and I were hanging lights I heard Johanna's little voice saying 'up, up, up!' So I assumed she was asking to be picked up. I looked down to pick her up and guess what the little stinker was doing.
What a goofball!
So our tree may not be the prettiest tree... but I love it!
The upside to having a tree with a bunch of open space is you get to see every ornament bright and clear. It was so much fun opening up each little ornament wrapped in tissue paper and remembering where it came from, especially all of Johanna's 1st Christmas ornaments. It's crazy to think it's been a whole year, wow!

  1. LOVE your tree! I think the goal should be to find the ones that looks most like the real Charlie Brown tree :) Can you get two permits next year? Johanna seemed to really enjoy helping out! So much fun!!

  2. The story on the bear is that Jeff bought it for his grandma for Christmas at the school store. We use to give the kids money and they could buy the family gifts at school. Grandma loved it too. He was probally in about 3rd grade or so.
