On Saturday Just Between Friends was having a toy consignment sale at the county fairgrounds. After picking up a breakfast burrito from my favorite Mexican hole-in-the-wall (a pregnancy craving of course) we headed down to Castle Rock to check it out. Grandma and Grandpa were there as soon as it opened to get first pick and found a whole bunch of great stuff!
This car is by far the favorite of the kids. There is a handle attached to the back so an adult can push it around super fast. If you're wondering why Johanna's lips appear blue in the above photos it's because she's become obsessed with my chap stick and likes me to put some on her whenever I put it on my lips. She is wearing my Burt's Bees pomegranate chap stick, not sure why it shows up blue on her tiny lips!
Woah.....life sized Minnie and Mickey!!
These chairs were an even better deal than the plastic car, they were free!
At Sunday night dinner all the kids got an early Christmas present, matching Avalanche teddy bears, thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
Nathan was just as excited about Minnie and Mickey as Johanna was. He walked right over and gave Minnie a big hug and kiss, here he is pointing at her nose.
You'll never guess what Grandma found at the sale... a mini dirt devil vacuum! Tyler was beyond himself with excitement.
He ran around the house rolling up the rugs then 'sucking it!!' as he would exclaim in glee while pretending to sweep the floor. Looks like he won't have a problem helping out with the vacuuming chores when he gets older :)
On the way home we had to make a pit stop at a house down the street from ours. For the last 5 years he has set up a giant musical lights show with its own radio station and everything, it is awesome! We took Johanna out of her car seat to see the lights and the owner even came out to greet us and pass out candy canes to the other cars that were there watching the show.
He even stopped the show for us to turn on all the lights at once so we could get a shot of it all lit up. It was beautiful!
Wow!! What a beautiful house!! We will have to make a trip over to see that one soon :) Thanks for sharing the pictures of Tyler vacuuming. Haha! It was too too funny!

ReplyDeleteYes,the consignment sale was great. So much fun to see so many toys in one place that you could try out too. I think the kids had more fun then we did by far. Fun decorated house, i am putting it on my lighted home tour.
Great finds!! I love places like that. Very cute pictures :)
ReplyDeleteNice! Johanna's hair is growing like crazy... check out www.noslippyclippy.com (like we need another addiction, but it'll be hard not to buy 10 of these things). Merry Christmas.
