Adventure Park Part II

 Although we only spent 7 hours at the Glenwood Cavern Adventure Park, we kept so busy and took so many pictures that I have to have a second post to include everything! In the afternoon we decided to take a break from the sun and go on a tour of the Glenwood Caverns. I haven't toured a cave in years but this weekend Jeff, Johanna and I visited two. Jolene- spelunking is the sport of exploring caves :)

 This cave was a little different than the tour we took on Saturday. The walls were much lower and the sides were much narrower- Johanna loved it!  

 Here we are at the "Exclamation Point" a cliffside balcony that overlooked the canyon. This was the ending of the original tour from over a hundred years ago.

 Over the last decade an additional grand viewing room has been opened to the public. Here we are standing in "Kings Row' it is the most highly decorated cave room in Colorado!

 It's hard to tell in this photo but the cave continues on and on and is covered from head to toe with various formations. The cave continues downward for 1,600 additional feet!

 After our cave tour (which Jeff and I both agreed was even cooler than the Cave of the Winds) Jeff tried out the mechanical bull. He did really well- good job Jeff!

 While we were away Johanna started clapping her hands for the first time. She was so excited with this she spent all day testing out her new skill. I was so happy that Jeff was able to be here, it is so much more special when he is here to see her start new things. 

 Still no teeth- look at that gummy smile!

When we got back to the hotel room Johanna was so exhausted from the fun filled day she lay sprawled out on the bed for at least five minutes. She usually won't last more than 5 seconds on her back!
