Sunshine Day

Today was a beautiful day not too hot not too cold, the sun was shining and it's finally starting to feel like Spring/Summer. I love days like these! I grabbed the quilt and some toys and we went outside to sit underneath our giant shady tree in the backyard.
Johanna was so excited to be outside she literally screamed the entire time.
Fiona was also super thrilled that we were joining her outside she zoomed around the backyard chasing after her ball.
Guess who thought this was hilarious... and proof that she was indeed still screaming.
She loved the feel of the cool grass on her toes.
And her fingers!
An airplane flew overhead and caught her attention.
I busied myself with planting some cherry tomato plants and the remainder of my marigolds from the weekend. Hopefully they start to perk up as well as the bunch in the bird bath have! Let's hope this warm weather is here to stay :)

On a different note, congratulations to my sister Melissa and her husband Clint on the birth of their second child, Leo Michael this past Tuesday May 31st. He is so beautiful, I can't wait to see him in person next month!

  1. What a fun day in the backyard. I love the close ups of Johanna's feet and hands. We have been enjoying the gorgeous weather as well. Your flowers are looking beautiful.

  2. Really cute photos! Congrats to your sister... another boy, yippee! I love the flowers. We all need to do a yard post so we can see one another's flowers and plants and such - I suppose that's means I need to get out there and take some photos. :)
