Johanna and I have been keeping very busy. Between swimming, play dates, a trip to the zoo and our first day of gym class we have been going non-stop!
Johanna has been trying lots of different foods. Now that I can safely give her finger foods it has been fun introducing a variety of snacks. Of course she loves them all! Here she is trying out some scrambled egg yolks, bananas and yogurt drops.
Yum! She has also tried chicken, pinto beans, cherries, plums, soft carrots, different breads, and her favorite- muenster cheese. She especially loves chunks of avocado. I have been following the website wholesomebabyfood.com for ideas and age recommendations. If you haven't been to this website I highly recommend it! I was just reading that around 8 months you should start introducing spices...now it is starting to get fun!![]()
On Tuesday night my friend Tracy had somewhere to be for Pampered Chef. Her husband is out of town on business so I offered to babysit their son Noah. Johanna was thrilled to have someone to show off all her toys to.
"See, this is how it works!"
"No no you are doing it wrong, you need to talk into this piece."
"Oh just give it to me." She may have a sharing problem. Notice how all of the toys are ending up near her? Mommy is working on teaching sharing skills.
She isn't all that bad, here she is sharing her block.
Of course after a while she got bored with Noah and decided to crawl (or backwards crawl I should say) to the carpet. I guess she wanted to take the blanket away from him as well.
Catching up on celebrity gossip. Doesn't she look a little guilty here?
"Looks like I'm not in trouble, so back to work I go tearing up these pages..."
The look of pure frustration.
Weeeeeeee!
Today I brought our desktop in to the computer shop to be fixed. Hopefully it will be back to normal in no time. I miss my photo editor, i-phone and i-pod stuff and of course being able to comment on everyone's blog. Good luck Geeks! (I'm not being mean, apparently its what they like to be called.)
She is doing so well with her foods! Yay!! Great pictures. It looks like you two are having so much fun and (like you said) keeping busy :)
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to find out what they like and don't like. Adelaide HATED avocado until about 6 months ago, LJ has loved it since I first gave it to her. All babies seems to ADORE tearing up paper from 7-12 months. It is really funny to watch... until they grab things off your desk and beginning shredding bills, Eric's bids, and other necessary paperwork! :P Fun photos with this post.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice little friend for Johanna! She already looks very social :) I love the picture of her eating the eggs- so cute. That is funny how all kids from 7-12 months like to tear up paper. Max did they same thing! I didn't realize that the majority of babies enjoyed it too, lol.
