In the small town of Keensburg, Colorado there is a really great wildlife conservation center named the "The Wild Animal Sanctuary." Brian and Lori had been before and said it was worth the hour and a half drive so we loaded the car up after our egg hunt on Saturday to check it out. Since 1980 the sanctuary has been rescuing exotic wildlife that were abandoned, abused or illegally kept. They are currently home to more than 155 Lions, Tigers, Bears, Jaguars, Leopards, Mountain Lions, Lynx, Bobcats, Wolves, and other wildlife. It was amazing to see!
Johanna loved it! She couldn't stop roaring and shouting the animals names (Lions! Tigers! Bears! oh, my...) We were even there for feeding time. We joked that it reminded us of Jurassic Park and how it would be cool for the lions if they released live food for them to hunt and catch. Well maybe not during visiting hours...
What a great organization and really worth the drive to see and support!
On Monday we went to one of my favorite parks with the kids. Johanna really enjoys spending time with her Nana and Papa, they had a blast exploring all the fun toys.

We had so much fun the last week, we love you Mom and Dad!! Can't wait to see you in June!

I want to go!! And how can there not be a story about Johanna's hair in the last picture?! Hehe! She looks so happy to be with her Nana and Papa! I'm so glad they were able to come and visit!
