Books

Today I needed to go to our local book store to pick something up so I decided to go during their story time. I wasn't sure how Johanna would do but decided to give it a try. Turns out we had nothing to worry about because we were the only ones there! Johanna got to pick out which books she wanted to read, and then we got a one-on-one story time with the book keeper. She (Johanna) sat through two books until she decided she would rather walk around and look at the books instead. I couldn't pass up buying Johanna a Berenstain Bears book. They were my absolute favorite as a child, and I am hoping she enjoys them as much as I did!Johanna likes to look at the pictures for about a second until she is distracted by something a little more interesting, like the zipper on her jacket. She does enjoy listening to the stories, especially Goodnight Moon before going to bed. This Friday we will be trying out story time at the library. They have one almost every morning so I am hoping there will be a better turn out than just the two of us!I was excited today because my blog book finally came in the mail! I used the same site that Russ had ordered Kara's last year, blog2print.com. It is over 100 pages long and chronicles our 2010 blog. I haven't been doing a very good job updating Johanna's baby book, so I figure this does the job and provides a years worth of pictures as well. I think it's pretty neat.

  3. A trip to the book store on a cold day what a fun choice. The blog book is such good record of the year. Fun will be 5 years down the road when you are able to look back and see so much change.
