Johanna is changing more and more each day. It is exciting and sad at the same time! One minute I am wanting her to keep progressing to the next stage because it is so exciting, and the next minute I am wanting her to slow down and stay my little tiny peanut forever. She is getting so big her 3 month old outfits are almost too small for her.

She spends a lot of her time making many different noises. Anyhing you put near her mouth is bound to get sucked on...her hands, Mommy's hands, her clothes, blankets, even Mommy's nose. (We thought that was pretty funny and had to try it a few times for a good laugh.)

She has also been drooling a lot! She's discovered how to make spit bubbles. If I leave her alone in her swing or bouncy chair I always come back to Johanna smiling through her little bubbles, she thinks it's pretty neat.
She is still waking up about every 3-6 hours at night for feedings. She will typically sleep the longest the first stretch after we put her down for the night, about five hours on average. She then wakes up for a night time feeding and will sleep for another 3-4 hours before waking up around 7:30. We have also started trying out her crib. I am trying to avoid her crying it out, so I like to see how long she can sleep on her own with out getting upset. The other night she went 4 1/2 hours until I had to wake her up... I forgot to give her her antibiotic and wanted to make sure she got it. I still love having her in our room in her pack n' play but I know eventually she will need to spend the full night in her nursery.
*Note: Johanna did great last night 5 1/2 hours in crib, one feeding then 4 1/2 hrs in her pack n' play, we are making progress!
She is such a great baby, I couldn't have asked for a more happy and content little one.

Look at this darling banner that we recieved from Jolene and Staci. I need to get the full scoop of how it came to be, did you guys make it? It is gorgeous and makes a beautiful addition to her little room. Thank you so much!!
She is so stinkin' CUTE!! I can't wait to see her in person! This long distance thing is killing me! Thank you for keeping the blog so up to date! It helps! Spit bubbles are too fun...enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteBloggity blog! Love the frequent posting. You can't believe how fast it goes and the babies grow. Keep a journal (the blog)! Glad you like the name banner. Staci's girlfriend, Emily - the Martha Stewart of BC, Canada, makes them. She made a couple for my girls and so I thought you needed one for Johanna. I sent her the particulars and your address and it came along its merry way!
