Johanna got to try on her new hula girl outfit from her Auntie Cheryl and Uncle Mike and cousins Monica and Brandon. I think cousin Bitty may have one too and you can tell it is a major hit with the girls! She doesn't know what Mommy think is so funny but she was joining in on the laughter.
Hula girl Hannie is a one year old now Jeff and I both agree we can't call her our baby anymore she is now our little girl! It's bittersweet I am happy she is growing up but as she becomes more and more independent I miss my little baby girl. Luckily she hasn't grown up too much and is still my little snugglebug.
-She's a little parrot and loves to copy cat say whatever words she can pick up on. Word list in Johanna language so far: nose, eyes, mouth, up, bear, dog, cat, bird, ball, duck, dadda, mamma, baba, papa(sounds a lot like baba), baby, balloon, tickle-tickle, and yes
-Likes to point to her nose and also pick it...oh boy
-When I say 'that's silly' she likes to make funny noises
-If we are home she typically takes two naps but lately she's been sleeping in later so we only do one longer afternoon nap which I must say has been nice!
-Is not ticklish but likes to tickle herself and others
-Is a very dainty eater (if you couldn't tell from her 1st birthday cake pictures!)
-Has half formula and half whole milk in her bottles right now, still has 3 bottles a day but we are slowly working on no day time bottle only milk in sippy cup.
-I reached my 1 year goal for nursing with the help of formula from our surprise pregnancy :) now we are working on morning weaning
-Still only has two chompers!
-Lets us know when she doesn't want something by swatting our hands away
-Loves jumping on the bed
-Is working on her walking but really loves standing
-Adores her Dad, as soon as the garage door opens in the evening she is zooming toward to door shouting dada!
-Wears 18 month clothing
-Sleeps with her bear, cat, duck and 'sleepy head' stuffed animal
-Has chipped off paint from her crib with her two little teeth. She stands up in her crib, puts her mouth on the side rail and walks back and forth! What a little stinker. I know they make covers for the front of the crib but I am on a search for something for the side.
This Friday is her 1 year appointment which means shots gallore wish us luck!
Aww Hannie
ReplyDeleteOne yrs old! That time has flown by-i remember when we were all at the hospital eagerly waiting for baby girl's arrival. None more than you, however Emily :) What a blessing she has been to all of us!
Love you Johanna

I love this hula outfit!! I agree, Mom-- what a wonderful girl. Love you Johanna!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite it when she tickles herself! I try so hard to tickler her, but she just won't laugh!! When she does it to herself I can't help but laugh :)
ReplyDeleteOh I wonder how they do shots there, we opted for only 3 at a time, I still have to go back for her last 2 or 3-not to freak you out but with only the 3 we got, it took her a good 4 days to recover from those 3, so I'm super hesitant to go back...I will just has not been my priority-uuhhggg I hate this part about being a parent-good luck girls!!!!
