After our tailgating fun on Sunday we drove straight to Grandma and Grandpa's for my birthday dinner. Lori made a very delicious chicken chili minus the chicken add ground beef. At least that's what I took out of it, I asked if it was chili and the answer was no, chicken chili. It was served with avocado, tortilla chips and greek yogurt and birthday girl gives it two thumbs up, YUM!
For dessert we celebrated with a yummy ice cream cake. There is no number on this cake, but I'll fill you in it was my 28th birthday! Funny, I have plenty of friends in their 30's and 40's and would never consider them old. However, when it is you yourself approaching a certain age the number starts looking a little daunting. My 20's are slowly slipping away and I'll soon be in my 30's! Luckily for me I really don't care and will age with ease. And I mean this in a mental status sort of way, not appearance. One look at my slowly greying, untouched hair and you'll see... I really do need to get that under control. Anyway, Happy Birthday to me!
Of course I have so much to be thankful for; my hubby and two beautiful children as well as my four gorgeous nephews whom I love so much. Life is good :)
Thanks for all the birthday love everyone, I know 28 will be my greatest year yet!
