Canvas and Cocktails

Today we found out JJ needs to have a minor surgery on the 13th to remove a little lump on his back. He is going to need general anesthesia and a biopsy will be performed afterward. They are fairly certain it is a subcutaneous cyst which is perfectly harmless but want to remove it now. I am of course freaking out and probably won't get much sleep (if any) tonight. Luckily I have an awesome gal pal that took me out for a little art and wine therapy and I am so glad she did! We went to this awesome place, Canvas and Cocktails which is exactly what the name says a place where you get to paint and drink at the same time! To make it even more fun they have an instructor who leads you through the painting.
We were greeted with a giant room of blank canvases. It quickly filled up with men and women and even a few children.
As you are starting your painting you can't help but think it isn't going to turn out well. But slowly as each step is added you begin to see the final product. Our painting was "Lovers Lane."
So thankful for my bff Kristi.
And I am so proud of my creation! Jeff was asleep by the time I got home but I was too inpatient to wait until the morning to show him my masterpiece. I turned the lights on and woke him up to show him. Of course he wasn't as excited as I was but He'll appreciate it more when I have it framed and hanging in our bedroom. I am looking forward to more creative nights at Canvas and Cocktails, it was so much fun!
Everyone keep JJ in your thoughts and prayers as well as Jeff and I! I know it is probably nothing and a very minor procedure but he is my little baby and I can't help but worry.

Blessed Mother Mary pray for JJ and his safety. You held Jesus in your arms and know what it is like to feel pain and worry for your children. Please pray for peace of mind and heart. Holy Father protect my little one and keep him safe. Look down on us and grant us peace and trust. Protect his doctors and guide them in their decisions and care. Amen!
