Got Milk?

Happy Birthday to me! Jeff took me to my all time favorite restaurant, The Melting Pot. We go every year for my birthday and I look forward to it every time. This year we tried a spicy bacon and sam adams cheese (phenomenal) and for dessert we had their pb&j specialty (amazing)! Each year that we go we sit somewhere different. This year our spot was the best yet. We were right  next to this giant wall of water that changed colors, it was really cool. Thanks for the yummy birthday dinner Jeff, I love you! Twenty-eight will be a great year.
Here's a little video of Johanna wishes me a Happy Birthday. You can't see anything since I'm filming in the dark but her little voice just cracks me up :)
We also started a milk and dairy delivery service that started just in time for my birthday. Although I don't have the budget to buy only organic in everything we eat I always splurge on milk, eggs and yogurt. I'm not sure about the rest of the world but organic milk around here is close to 6 bucks a gallon. With this delivery service it is 2 bucks cheaper, the eggs are not only fresh and natural they are 4 days from the cage and their cheese, yogurts and cottage cheese are amazing. And best yet it is only 3 dollars a month for delivery charges. So being the huge dairy fan that I am I was really excited for my first delivery. They come once a week in the wee hours (I think our delivery was something like 4 am) and deliver it to your doorstep. I love it!
I had to try their famous egg nog and oh my goodness...heavenly... and I don't even like egg nog that much! Funny story, when Jeff was a little boy his Mom also had Royal Crest delivered. She would only give them a little bit of egg nog at a time so he would wake up in the middle of the night and sneak a glass up to his room...hee hee... turned ya in, Jeff! Johanna got to try her first little bit of egg nog and it was a huge hit for her as well.
 Slurp!

I was greeted with another delivery as well, a beautiful cornucopia arrangement from my family! I love the gorgeous fall colors and they are so fragrant.
Thank you for thinking of us Mom, Dad and Grandma we love you guys! These were delivered from our local grocery store and they did an amazing job. Between our milk delivery and the flowers it got me thinking. Back when I was working outside of the home one of my responsibilities was ordering a weekly supply of groceries for the Assisted Living facility. I had a budget and menu to follow and I loved the ease of ordering from the computer. The service is 5 dollars a delivery and they come to your doorstep as well. Obviously grocery shopping isn't that much of a challenge however seeing how I have experience in the area I am seriously considering doing this for our family. I think it will give me more time to look for the deals, stick to a budget and focus on my meal planning. Keep you posted!
In JJ news we decided to take it easy today. His little incision site is giving him a little bit of a hard time. He doesn't like sitting for too long and much prefers being snuggled or playing with his Sister. Yesterday we went out to our Mops meeting and I think it was just a little too much for him, poor little guy cried the whole time while in the nursery they had to come get me. I'm still a little worried about infection with where it is so I've been really diligent with cleaning it properly with a water bottle, no wipes on his little bum! He is taking a nice long nap while I type this and hopefully that little body of his will heal up nice and properly.

Love to you all!
